Vani the elder one is a well read attorney and the younger one Rani is a failure in education with not even going beyond 13th class. Though both have extreme ideologies of life Rani is a favorite among neighbors with her uncanny innocent approach.

Vani is a roaring lion at the court room who is looked up as a role model to so many upcoming lawyers for her advocating abilities, whereas Rani is a well versed home maker.

Not only with the sisters remain with this extremity but even their respective husbands share the same dose of luck….yes vani's husband is a successful Granite businessman and Rani's husband tried his hands on so many fields and has burnt his fingers with many a losses.

Vani is a mother of 2 children and Rani has three children who are in their teens. Volcanoes of persistent problem erupts now and then between the children too since each of them pertaining to different thought process indulge in living together under one roof as a nuclear family. Their comes a stage when it becomes so difficult to keep the family values intact between the varied problems which keeps cropping making the situation even more complex.

In the meantime Vani looses a case at the court for the very first time to a debutant advocate Sneha who has always admired and adored Vani for her abilities and aspired to be like her.

Not able to bear the loss Vani comes with a sinister plan to make sneha her daughter in law and by which means she can get her share of revenge .When asked if she would get married to Vani's son Sneha considers this as a golden opportunity get in to the family of her idol and she nods by saying yes thinking that she can grow much higher professionally.

Sneha is shattered when Vani asks for a vow….. Yes the Lioness of court room orders Sneha not to ever wear that black coat and enter court house.

As time moves on Sneha initiates her husband to take up law and encourages him to become a professional in the law arena and to bring him against her idol Vani. The cold War between the two Vani and Sneha also intensifies the existing problems inside and outside the family.

Doctor Who Treated Vinodhi Details The Cause of Death

Chennai: Battling for life for almost three months after a gruesome acid attack that left her blind, a 23-year-old woman died at a private hospital here today.

Vinodhini, a B.Tech graduate working in a private firm, had gone home for Diwali celebrations when she faced an acid attack at a bus terminus at Karaikal on November 14 by a construction worker whose overtures she rejected.

She was first rushed to a private hospital in Karaikal from where she was shifted to JIPMER (Jawharlal Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences) in Puducherry. She was then referred to a government hospital here and a private hospital for specialised treatment, where she breathed her last.

Vinodhini's father, Jayapal, a watchman in a private school in Karaikal, said "He (the accused) should undergo the same pain which my daughter suffered. Acid should be thrown at him."

Vinodhini had received financial help from various quarters, including Rs three lakh from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund and Rs two lakh from the Puducherry government and from the public in India and abroad, family sources said.

The accused Suresh has already been arrested.

Meanwhile, a Puducherry report said Minister of State in the PMO V. Narayanasamy expressed grief and sorrow over the death of the woman. It was sad that Vinodhini, hailing from a poor family, died inspite of all efforts by authorities and hospital staff to save her, Narayanasamy said over phone from New Delhi.

J Vinodhini, a software engineer who suffered serious burn injuries in November when a man threw acid on her for rejecting his overtures, died at a private hospital in Chennai today.

As in the case of the Delhi gangrape victim, she too was from a poor family and had worked hard against tremendous odds to complete her higher education and get a job. However, when she said no to a man, who had been troubling her with his advances, he attacked her near Puducherry while she was in a bus. Vinodhini suffered 40 per cent injuries, mostly on her face, shoulders and stomach. The attack instantly blinded her besides disfiguring her.

The most unfortunate part of Vinodhini's tragedy is that she had reported the trouble and stalking she faced to the police. The police had warned the culprit, but that couldn't prevent him from attacking her.

Her story made headlines for a few days in the state and subsequently faded out of public interest. Reportedly, her family struggled to meet her treatment expenses. Doctors said, even if she had survived, she would have been blind and her quality of life would have been seriously compromised with endless surgeries and other travails. Her family and friends were crestfallen at the hospital where she was declared dead today. Apparently when she was attacked, she had fought valiantly and spit back some of the acid, mildly injuring her attacker.

The attack on Vinodhini happened barely a weak after another acid-victim, Sonali Mukherjee, shook the conscience of the nation on Kaun Banega Crorepathi, with the story of her tragedy and survival.

One can only hope that Vinodhini's sacrifice will not be in vain and that it will force the authorities in the state to do something extraordinary to effectively fight the violence against women. Here is yet another case of a sprightly, smart young Indian girl, with a lot of hope on her future, being crushed by a senseless and violent man even as the State and society looked on.

Chennai: Tamil comedian Vadivelu, who returns to acting after a gap of around two years with the comedy 'Thenali Raman', wishes for a flourishing homecoming and says all this while he missed being busy.

"It is great to be back especially after a while. I wish to be as busy and successful as I was before in this homecoming," Vadivelu told IANS.

"My new film will be an out and out comedy and I will be seen in a double role. It is a period film and I will be essaying the roles of Krishnadevaraya and Thenali Raman," he added.

In a career spanning over two decades, Vadivelu has acted in over 200 Tamil films. But sadly, in the last three years, he only had three releases.

"There used to be a time when I did 10 to 12 films in a year, but times have changed and I should change with it. This break happened for good and I don't wish to look back. I'd rather worry about entertaining audiences again," said Vadivelu.

The actor also played the lead in the Tamil period comedy drama 'Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi', which is likely to have a sequel in the offing.

"There have been talks about a sequel, but nothing has been confirmed as of now. It was a special film and I would be glad to be a part of the sequel," he added.

The actor also clarifies that having been out of action for some time, competition doesn't worry him.

Saying more on it the actor says,"I've always had competition, and therefore it doesn't make a difference to me now," he said.

However, 'Thenali Raman', which is being directed by filmmaker Yuvaraj, will be produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram.

Members of the Nam Thamilar party stage hunger strike protest on demanding India to support US resolution to be passing against SriLanka at the UN Human Rights Council session on February 27.

Earlier police refused to grant permission for political parties to hold hunger strike protest in the Puthuwai area.

A product designer in New York is thinking about ways to bring back etiquette into the mobile world we live in today where everybody is constantly checking their phones for updates and information.

On Tuesday (February 05) Ingrid Zweifel (pronounced zwie-fel, as 'rifle') sat down with Reuters to talk about the "Phonekerchief", a product that she developed after seeing how people nowadays never seem to part from their mobile devices.

"So this is a signal blocking phone pocket that helps you turn off distractions in order to be fully engaged with someone or something," the 32-year-old explained.

The Phonekerchief is made out of nylon and silver and blocks all cell signals when a mobile device is tightly wrapped around in it.

Zweifel said that she tried different metals and materials, but decided on silver as she found that it was the most effective in blocking radio frequencies.

"Definitely a lot of research went into this product in terms of the materials and just trying out different things that block cell phone signals and seeing what works best and what doesn't. And it ended up being a silver thread that worked very well," she said.

After launching her first generation Phonekerchief that has to be wrapped around a device in a certain way, Zweifel got feedback that it is difficult to use.

So she came up with an improved design that she calls "Blokket."

Blokket is in the form of a pouch, and has a rubber band attached that comes in four colors.

They are engraved either "My Phone Is Off For You" or "Goodbye Phone. Hello World!"

According to online statistics website statisticbrain.com 76 percent of the people polled said that they are in favor of being constantly connected by technology.

Zweifel does not argue that technology is bad, but thinks that there should be rules on when to turn technology off as a gesture of politeness.

She recalled an incident with a woman that gave her insight.

"I actually talked to a woman who recently gotten on a date with a man who left his phone at home for her. And it was the ultimate gesture," she said.

"And I think I realized at that point how powerful it is to turn your phone off for someone else. It means so much, it means that you are fully engaged with them, you are 100 percent focused, 100 percent there. And I think we're losing that today."

Blokket will be sold at New York's MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) Design stores and online.
