TV9 Ladies Club: (22-03-2013) : 'Spondylitis' Pain, Symptoms, Treatments, Causes - Full TV9 Ladies Club: (22-03-2013) : 'Spondylitis' Pain, Symptoms, Treatments, Causes - Full..., Spondylitis is one of the most common causes of back and neck pain and is essentially the result of an inflammation of the vertebral joints. The problem with detecting the condition is the fact that it develops rather under the radar and only comes to prominence once the condition has fully developed -- at which time the amount of pain and suffering it causes is substantial. The pain is usually concentrated around the cervical region of the neck, shoulder and lower spine with the instances and stings of pain flowing further downwards. 'What is spondylitis' will defer from instance to instance because of the fact that the condition categorizes three main types. The three versions of spondylitis are: cervical spondylitis -- which affects the cervical spine, causing the pain to spread towards the back of the neck; lumbar spondylitis -- which causes the pain in the lumbar region; and ankylosing spondylitis- which is primarily a disease that affects the sacroiliac joints -- causing stiffness in the neck, jaw, shoulders, hips and knees. Despite the fact that yoga has been around for a number of centuries, it is only in the last few decades that it has come to global prominence and is increasingly accepted as being a very effective method of dealing with a number of health problems. Moreover, the fact that it helps develop the mind in addition to the positive effect it has on the body has seen a number of people take up the discipline with increasing vigor and commitment. Spondylitis treatment through yoga is performed by practicing one of the many poses that help with relieving the pain that you are likely to be experiencing in your joints as well as various parts of the body. While some people rely on modern medicine such as the chemical based drugs -- there is always the possibility of side effects. However, with yoga, you are unlikely to face the problem as yoga does not call for you to ingest or be treated with any kind of substance. This is not to say, however, that there are no risks with yoga as performing any of the more complex poses without the advice or instructions of a trained yoga master could see you injure yourself rather severely. There are a number of the yoga postures such as the snake pose and the fish pose that are known to have worked wonders with the ankylosing spondylitis and cervical spondylitis. Yoga: Yoga has been around for thousands of years. Today, a large number of people take up yoga due to its positive effects on the mind as well as the body. Yoga does not have any side effects. Yoga poses are simple and these exercises improve your life as well as your physical and mental health. Yoga is beneficial for people of all ages. Various Asanas, or Yoga postures, provide relief to different parts of the body. Yoga Treatment for Ankylosing Spondylitis Yoga is very effective in treatment of Ankylosing Spondylitis. This mind-body exercise involves meditation, breathing Asanas and some physical postures. There are many Yoga poses that help in relieving people from stiffness-related pains such as Dhanura Asana (Bow posture), Makara Asana (Fish pose), Bhujanga Asana (Snake Pose), Ardha Matsyendra Asana (Half Spinal Twist), Neti Kriya and Vajra Asana (Diamond pose). These poses remove rigidity and enhance flexibility of the joints. They also correct human body postures. For muscle relaxation, Pranayama (Breathing exercises) is very effective. With the exercises and meditations taught in Yoga, people with Ankylosing Spondylitis will greatly improve their flexibility and breathing. Yoga will also replenish your body with the energy it needs.

TV9 Discussion: 'Local Kurukshetra' with Outlook. Editor in Chief, Krishna Prasad - Full TV9 Discussion: 'Local Kurukshetra' with Outlook. Editor in Chief, Krishna Prasad - Full..., In a major setback to the Bharatiya Janata Party just ahead of the Assembly polls, its performance in the urban local body (ULB) elections was way below that of its political rival, the Congress. In the March 7 elections to the 207 urban local bodies — comprising city corporations, city municipal councils (CMCs), town municipal councils (TMCs) and town panchayats (TPs) — the Congress won 1,960 wards out of the 4,952 that went to the polls. It emerged as the single largest party in 69 ULBs, while in 2007 it scored a decisive victory in only 33 ULBs. By contrast, the BJP lost 275 wards and 24 ULBs from its 2007 tally. The Janata Dal (Secular) lost 597 wards and 34 ULBs. The Congress' total gain in terms of wards is 354. The Congress won 39.57 per cent of the wards as against 32.67 per cent in 2007. Voters trounced the BJP in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, which were considered bastions of the Sangh Parivar. Except the Kundapur TMC and the TPs of Saligrama and Sullia, the BJP did not win any of the ULBs, including the Mangalore City Corporation and the Udupi CMC, where it was in power. The TMCs of Puttur, Moodbidri, Bantwal, Ullal and Karkala, and the Belthangady TP went to the Congress. The BJP, which controlled four city corporations — Davangere, Mangalore, Bellary and Hubli-Dharwad — lost the first three to the Congress while it was one seat short of a simple majority in the last. The party failed to win even a single seat in the Bellary City Corporation where the Congress took 26 seats, the JD(S) one and Independents were elected in eight wards. In the Belgaum corporation all seats were won by Independents. In the Davanagere corporation too, the BJP managed to win just one seat while the Congress bagged 36 wards. The Congress may manage to come to power in the Gulbarga City Corporation, where it won 23 of the 55 seats, with alliances. It was a fractured verdict in the Mysore City Corporation. The Congress won at least 50 per cent seats in 10 CMCs, 37 TMCs and 19 TPs while the BJP's tally is two CMCs, 10 TMCs and nine TPs. The JD (S) won in six CMCs, nine TMCs and five TPs while the KJP got three TMCs and two TPs. The KJP won 274 seats and gained control over three TMCs and two TPs. The BSR Congress won in 86 wards. The former Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Deputy Chief Minister K.S. Eshwarappa and several Ministers will take part in the yatra, which will formally begin after a puja at Sri Chamundeshwari temple around 11.30 a.m., Mr. Siddaraju told presspersons. The yatra team will tour all 11 Assembly constituencies in Mysore district from March 22 to 31 before going to Chamarajanagar district. Mr. Siddaraju said that it was in Mysore that senior party leaders started the 'Janadesh Yatra, leading to Atal Bihari Vajpayee becoming the Prime Minister. The 'Sankalp Yatra' started from here, propelling B.S. Yeddyurappa to the post of Chief Minister. The Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra would prove lucky again for the BJP, he observed. Mysore district in-charge and Medical Education Minister S.A. Ramdas had said that Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar would distribute several government benefits to people, in addition to inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for several development works worth over Rs. 800 crore here on Thursday. However, to a question he said that if Mr. Shettar did not turn up owing to election code of conduct (the elections have been announced on May 5), the development schemes would automatically go on. Mr. Ramdas defended the low-cost housing scheme for the urban poor in K.R. constituency, which he represents. He ridiculed Opposition remarks which termed it an "election gimmick". He had announced the scheme a couple of days ago and scores of people had obtained applications to apply for the houses under the scheme. Similar proposals for N.R. and Chamaraja Assembly constituencies were also sent to the government, he said. Earlier in the day, Mr. Ramdas launched work on the first autonagar project in the city at Bandipalya (also parts of Nachanahallipalya) in an area of 14 acres, opposite the APMC yard, on the Mysore-Ooty Road. The project is expected to come up at a cost of Rs. 220 crore (revised estimate) in different stages. It will have a ground floor and three floors, a total of 11,26,776 sq ft. The Mysore Urban Development Authority , which is the implementing agency, had sent a proposal to the Centre seeking more funds for the project, Mr. Ramdas said. Chairman of MUDA L. Nagendra, chairman of the Karnataka Exhibition Authority Mahendra, party leader Tontadarya, and city unit president of the party Shivakumar were present.

TV9 News: Salman Khurshid: Italian Marines Won't Get Death As The Case Isn't Rarest of Rare TV9 News: Salman Khurshid: Italian Marines Won't Get Death As The Case Isn't Rarest of Rare........, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said the relations between India and Italy were back on track. "We remain satisfied with most things. It's important that friendly relations are not hurt by incidents of this nature. If they happen, they have to be handled in the best objective manner. Things with Italy are back on track and normal," Khurshid said. 1:20 pm: Reacting to Italy's decision of sending back its marines, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said, "Marines are coming back as per the Supreme Court's direction. We welcome the move, which is consistent with dignity of the judicial process of India." 12:33 pm: External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid in his statement in Parliament said the Italian marines will not get death sentence as the Indian fishermen killings case was not a rarest of rare case. He also said they won't be arrested if they return before the apex court's deadline. "The two Italian marines are on their way to India. Notwithstanding pending proceedings, the government has informed the Italian government that the marines will not be liable for arrest if they return within time frame laid down by the Supreme Court," Khurshid said in his statement.Minister of State for Home Affairs RPN Singh welcomed Italy's decision. Singh tweeted, "India's tough stand as articulated by the PM and Sonia Gandhi has worked. Italy sending back its 2 marines to face trial in India." Italy's decision to not send the marines back had sparked a diplomatic row earlier this month. India had warned Italy of dire consequences if the marines were not returned and the tough stance seems to have forced the Italian government to reverse its position. The Supreme Court had also taken a tough stance barring Italian ambassador Daniele Mancini from leaving India. Coming down heavily on Mancini while hearing the case of the Italian marines, the Chief Justice of India Altamas Kabir had not only restrained him from leaving the country till further orders, he also added that a person who comes to the court and gives an undertaking has no immunity. The Supreme Court also said that that it had lost all trust in the Italian ambassador while adjourning the matter till April 2. The court had ruled that no further affidavits will be accepted from the Italian ambassador on whether he wants to leave the country. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh last week termed as "unacceptable" Italy's refusal to send its two marines back to India and said the issue will be taken up with that country. Congress President Sonia Gandhi had also spoken out strongly saying that no country should take India for granted.

Meeting With campaigning for the upcoming Assembly elections taking wings everywhere, leaders and aspirants of prominent parties were found meeting in town on Saturday, to plan on how to go ahead with the cause. He began campaigning on Friday, after offering prayers at the Kurudumale Vinayaka temple and at the Chikkathirupathi temple. Booth committees have been formed inclusive of party leaders in the taluk panchayat to go house to house requesting for votes. In the BJP, legislator S N Krishnaiah Setty is expected to be retained as candidate. He met the booth level activists and discussed campaigning with them. After trips for women, it is feasts for youth The party leaders, who wooed women by organising religious trips for them prior to the declaration of Assembly election dates, are now eyeing the youth. The Congress lost the Bangarpet bypoll two years ago, but K M Narayanaswamy is all set to fight it out again and is seen trying win over the youngsters, especially those belonging to various communities, in the taluk. Feasts The most prominent means of campaigning currently is the organisation of village feast. A youth leader who can succeed in gathering youngsters from all over the village is selected before hand. On a fine day, in the evening, all youngsters are gathered for the feast, said sources from Bangarpet constituency. Tours The other method of wooing youngsters is getting them to tour places. "Many have already been taken to Mysore. Women have especially been treated to religious trips. Now, the tours are organised for the benefits of youngsters," said a voter in the constituency. "It is ironic, however, that the number of such village feasts and trips to woo voters are increasing in number. The parties seem to depend on them heavily to win over the citizens," added the voter.
